Spellcasting and Weariness Tests by Tulris (commentary by Manveru)

When a character casts a spell, they must make a Willpower test against the Weariness TN for a given spell, rather than a Stamina test.  (p.169)

It just seems much more fitting for a spellcaster's Weariness tests to be based upon their Willpower rather than their Stamina.

As it is, the magic rules encourage spellcaster's to obtain as high a Stamina bonus as they can (and they do, from what I've seen so far).  It seems highly incongruous to me for spellcaster's to be running around with the physical Stamina of an Ox,  taking the Tireless Edge (why would they not?) and in general matching or outperforming even the most hardy Warrior in tests of physical endurance and Health.  While this may fit a particular character's background, I would rather see it as an exception than a rule.  It seems much more fitting for a spellcaster to emphasize Willpower or Wisdom instead.  Excellent house rule, simple, effective, and flavorful.  Thanks Tulris! :-)
